Short answer: Yes.
Multiple times over the years. Many respected members of our community were told the same.
If there’s anyone saying different, it’s in direct conflict not only with what I’ve been saying, but also with the words of many community leaders and Republican activists. In fact, it was common knowledge throughout the county since she had told so many.
There’s no need to call my integrity into question, the integrity of my team members, or my opponent’s. We’re all on the same team. We’re just trying to determine who we want as our quarterback.
Short answer: No!
I plan to focus 100% of my efforts on being Precinct 4’s full-time Justice of the Peace.
I’m not trying to take away all my opponent’s income sources. That wasn’t even a thought until someone mentioned it to me.
Short answer: Voting numbers can be found on the Brazoria County Clerk’s webpage here : https://www.brazoriacountyclerktx.gov/ (and I encourage you to look up the numbers yourself)
Additional information can be found on my website page titled, “Precinct 4 Voting History”.
Short answer: Regarding the JP position, I’m thinking 2 with an “optional” 3rd.
As a conservative I’ve always believed in term limits. Our founding fathers never intended for people to stay in office 20+ years and make a career out of a public office.
Over this timespan, my kids will be grown. Since the JP deals so much with the schools and juveniles, it’s important to have someone in that office that understands what our youth and families are dealing with.
Short answer: Yes.
There are so many rumors out there. This close to an election it’s bound to happen. So, yes, I’ve heard this rumor and I’ve even been sent names (Blaine C., James B., and others).
No, I don’t believe my opponent, or the people around her, would do this to our county. That’s something that happens with liberals in Harris County. Not in Brazoria County with our conservative leaders.
Short answer: No.
There were some republican women that encouraged me to run. Most of them are on my campaign team. However, I decided to run after working in that court as a Social Worker for so long. I believe it could be doing so much more for the community and I have the education & experience to provide this service for our Precinct 4.
Short answer: I’ve been married to my wife Jessica for 15 years. We’ve been together for 19. I’ve never been divorced. This is the most far-fetched rumor so far.
Short answer: Yes.
I’ve been around the county’s republican party for a while. I founded Brazoria County Young Republicans at a time when there were only 3-4 individuals under the age of 50 attending meetings on occasion. I’ve served as Outreach Chair for the county party, served as a Senate District Representative for our precinct, and block walked for almost every Republican elected official throughout the county. My point is, I’m not “new to the scene”.
I knew this was not going to be a 1-on-1 contest where we compare resumés and community involvement like other races. So yes, I knew what I was up against and ran anyway. Obviously, I feel it is that important. Especially when you add the fact I resigned my position as Director of Industrial Programs at Alvin Community College in order to focus on campaigning.
Short answer: No.
I have no plans on coming in and “cleaning house,” replacing them with friends/family. If staff are high performers, I 100% want them on my team and hope we all genuinely care about serving our community and changing the lives this office will reach.
